So I started a new job recently. This isn’t really fodder for this blog, other than to explain why I’ve been so blog-negligent recently. This week, in my new professional capacity, I am in Kitchener-Waterloo attending the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences.

It’s neat to be back in K-W; I lived here for about eight months after I graduated from the University of Guelph. And Congress has been remarkable. I’ve heard Jane Urquhart speak, and Chris Hedges, and have had books signed by Hedges and Kim Thúy.

The ideas bouncing around the two Waterloo universities are exciting and exhilarating, and I’ve got a whole new reading list to work on when I get home.
